Is your meat Halal?
No as Game Meat is harvested from wild free roaming animals
Why is your product cryovaced?
“Cryovac” is food-industry shorthand for “vacuum-pack”—meaning to wrap foods in impermeable plastic, then remove most of the air inside the package to prevent oxidation (causing rancidity or darkening in colour) and inhibit the growth of most pathogens—both important factors in a food's decay, or spoilage.
Why can the meat have a strange smell when it comes out of the cryovac bag?
The product in the package has been deprived of oxygen since it was sealed, so as you open the bag the will be released. Give it a couple of minutes to air out on the bench and then smell it again.
Where does your meat come from?
Our Game Meat is predominantly sourced from the Gippsland Region. We use Gippsland based businesses to create our Gourmet Pies and Kabana
Are your pet products Human Grade?
Yes ** exceptions apply, this means these products have been inspected by a Meat Inspector, packed in a PrimeSafe licensed facility, stored in approved facilities, and transported in a PrimeSafe approved vehicle
** (except the minced rabbit as it contains bones, and the dehydrated items)
What is in our pet food?
Our products are 100% single protein meaning nothing extra is added to any of our products.
What are your delivery fees?
We use an accredited third-party delivery company
Victoria $20 for two cartons
Re-delivery
If you are not home at time of delivery, and you have not specified that we can leave your delivery unattended, we will need to organise a new delivery day. This will incur an added re-delivery fee which is be the same as the original fee. If your order did not incur an originally charge a delivery fee you will incur the standard delivery fee for your location
Do I need to be home to accept my order?
No, as long as you have left detailed instructions when placing your order so we can leave your delivery in a secure location in the event you are not home.
Returns
We cannot offer refunds or exchanges due to the nature of our products and strict health policies. If there is a problem with the product and the way it was received, please refer to our Refund Policy and contact sales@gippslandgamemeats.com.au. Please make your selections carefully, and double check your order before submitting.
What is the turnaround time from ordering?
Depending on availability of the produce we aim to have your produce dispatched within 3-4 days from ordering.
